Monday edition, built late. It reviews Mon Sep 28 → Fri Oct 2 (5 full UTC days) against the same five days a week earlier. Solana volume was $17.4M vs $2.55M (+583%), and $12.4M of it came from ordinary wallets once high-frequency ones are excluded (+695%). The spike was Tue Sep 29 at $8.7M, with $BAGSPAY alone at 56% of the week. The part that matters is what came after: daily volume settled at $1.3–1.7M (excl. HF), against ~$230K a day the week before. Eng shipped Bags Payout end to end (backend payout bot + /pay + BagsPay fee sharing on the launch form), a launch-form redesign and the Cantina security fixes. Robinhood went the other way: free gas ended Sep 29 and RH volume fell to 33 ETH ≈ $90K over the 5 days (−80%), with 10 launches. Competitors cloned the "fees to any @handle" idea six times in 72 hours. This week has to turn the spike into a habit.
Operating frame: Bags runs as a KPI-focused firm aimed at capturing trading volume through mobile and terminal products. The stats come prefilled (this brief is the prefill) and the meeting discusses why. This week's why: UsePaid's X Money payouts went down, and the market went looking for whoever still pays. For five days that was Bags. Since then, six clones have shipped.
Key stats: Solana $17.4M over 5 days (+583%), 29.7K traders (+441%), 1,677 launches (+35%). Creator claims were $136K (+86%). Public revenue: DefiLlama 7d $82.9K (+212% vs last deck's $26.6K). Robinhood 33.4 ETH ≈ $90K (−80%), 10 launches (−80%); free gas ended Sep 29, and daily volume has been under 3 ETH since. Eng: 181 human commits (−36%), 34 PRs merged, and Linear closed 10 (vs 1). Headline: the best Solana week in months, concentrated in one coin and one narrative.
Solana: by day, $2.20M (Mon) → $8.72M (Tue) → $2.71M → $2.23M → $1.56M (Fri). Excluding wallets with ≥200 trades in the window, the Tue peak was $5.96M and the days after held at $1.29–1.72M. The same filter gives $210–280K for a normal day the week before. $BAGSPAY was $9.8M of the $17.4M (56%), with 13.1K ordinary makers. Launches ran at 214–440 a day, but distinct creators were only 38–100 a day: launch count is concentrated in a few high-volume deployers, so the creator count is the better health metric. Claims were $136K from 128 claimers.
Robinhood: 33.43 ETH ≈ $90K over Sep 28–Oct 2 vs 165.3 ETH (≈$445K) for Sep 21–25, −80%. 10 launches vs 49. Fees (2%) ≈ 0.67 ETH ≈ $1.8K, protocol half ≈ $0.9K. Tue Sep 29 (the day free gas ended) had a last 20.7 ETH curve burst, then 2.9 → 2.1 → 0.7 ETH a day. The full prior week Sep 21–27 did 184.5 ETH / 64 launches, so the fade was already under way. All-time launches 4,743 (+70). The vault holds 0.257 ETH (≈$690).
Bags Payout shipped end to end. Backend #1351 (BagsPay token mapping), #1355 (payout endpoints) and #1356 (payout-bot integration) came from ramyodev. On web, finnbags shipped #550 (BagsPay fee sharing on the launch form), #552 (the /pay send form) and receipt-style claim history. The launch form was redesigned (#538/#542, ~31K lines) with a fee-sharing app rail and launches "for @user". Profiles got portfolio, launched and shared tabs, and "money" became earn, with a single claim-all card. Mobile was quiet: 0 bagsapp commits. The only mobile work in flight is danbagsfm's cross-chain Relay trading (#690, plus web #541 at +23K).
Cantina audit fixes: unbound-bags plus nikola closed 7 Linear security issues (BAGS-447…464). Private IPs are now blocked in metadata fetches, the auth code is claimed once before MFA, API keys are refused for banned users, and OAuth tokens are kept out of login events. Three High Cantina items are still in todo (BAGS-443 least-privilege secrets, BAGS-442 unbounded IAM, BAGS-440 Flux pins). Launch pipeline: DAMM v2 direct launches were removed (−3.6K lines), launches now use processed commitment, and public-API launches are tagged and synced. Data: alaa's Postgres current-state shadow store is in review (indexer #161 +23.9K, datapi #152). Ops: a contract-failure-rate alert went live (#1350).
Three items that can't wait. (1) Payout continuity. Holders on X cite the @BagsPay wallet's claims and buybacks as their reason to hold. Any gap while BagsPay moves to the backend payout bot will be read as "abandoned" (that reply is already circulating). The cutover needs a date and an owner. (2) The take rate is still unreconciled. The platform-take table shows $78.3K over 5 days; that is a dollar figure only, not a rate, until the accrual timing is validated. (3) Copy and promo discipline. A Bags news account described tokenized stocks as redeemable shares, and kept promoting a coin Bags didn't launch. Our wording is "tokenized stock exposure", and our accounts don't promote third-party tickers. Close with named owners.
181 human commits on default branches (282 the week before, −36%), 34 PRs merged, and Linear closed 10 issues, a real step up from last week's 1. The work clustered on the product that drove the volume: fee routing and payouts. The count fell because alaa, dan and sadj worked on feature branches (Postgres shadow store, Relay cross-chain), and those show up as PRs, not default-branch commits.
Human commits on default branches, Sep 28 → Oct 3 (deploy[bot], bags-deploy-bot, github-actions, renovate and cursoragent excluded). Prior week: finnbags 92, ramyodev 105, alaabags 30, unbound-bags 22, sadjbags 14, danbagsfm 14, nilsbags 5 = 282. Linear: 10 closed. Seven were Cantina security fixes (nikola); three were non-eng ops/BD items (stu).

| 📐 Data accuracy | Swap net amounts, atomic P&L, referral earnings, Helius market cap, points on unsubscribe, and failed transactions no longer recorded as transfers. | unbound-bags | bags.backend |
| 🧹 Launch pipeline + ops | DAMM v2 direct launches removed (#1345, −3.6K lines), processed commitment, public-API launches tagged (#1354), a contract-failure-rate alert (#1350), Mongo indexes built on startup, and the CI Jest heap fix. | ramyodev · nilsbags | bags.backend |
Read: eng was pointed at the right thing. The week the payout story went viral is the week the payout product moved into the core backend. The risk is concentration: finnbags + ramyodev = 163 of 181 commits (90%).
Three clusters dominate the open queue: (1) Relay cross-chain trading on web and mobile (+27K across two PRs); (2) alaa's Postgres current-state shadow store across indexer and datapi (+26K); (3) security and consistency follow-ups from unbound-bags. Last week's native-quote fee rework partly landed: public-api #70 synced with backend #1280.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| HOT | twitter-claim #541 · bagsapp #690 — Relay cross-chain trading | +23,385 / 309 files on web and +4,083 on mobile. Trade any chain from Bags. Large, and it competes for review attention with the payout cutover. | danbagsfm | in review |
| HOT | indexer #161 · datapi #152 — Postgres current-state shadow store | +23,863 / +2,522. A shadow sink plus client for current state. Infra that should eventually make the stats in this deck cheaper and more trustworthy. | alaabags | in review |
| HOT | twitter-claim #549 — token-page claim status + phone layout | +7,643. Shows whether a coin's fees are claimed, on the token page. That answers the "is this abandoned?" question holders are asking on X. | finnbags | open |
| HOT | backend #1341 · #1346 · #1348 — hardening + consistency | Low-severity security hardening (+1,113), stale caches and consistency fixes, edge cases in swap quotes, claims and referrals. | unbound-bags | open |
| DATA | datapi #151 top revenue tokens · indexer #160 stock quote catalog | A top-revenue-tokens view (+1,769) and a refreshed stock quote catalog (needed for the stock-pairs Linear work). | nilsbags · alaabags | open |

Two +23K PRs are open at once (Relay cross-chain and the Postgres shadow store), and both touch hundreds of files. Neither should merge in the same week as the payout cutover. Sequence: payout cutover first, then the shadow store (read-only side effects), then Relay. The standing rule still holds: anything over +5K needs a merge plan within two weeks.
Default-branch commits only. The indexer and datapi weren't idle: their work is in the open Postgres shadow-store PRs (#161/#152). Mobile (bagsapp) had 0 commits, and its only active PR is Relay #690.
Linear did better this week: 10 closed (7 Cantina fixes). But 39 of the 51 "started" issues haven't moved in 14+ days. The oldest are three marketing videos untouched since Jul 27 (BM-1, BM-3, BM-5). The BAGS backlog is 116 issues (14 High, 0 Urgent). The week's biggest product, BagsPay / Bags Payout, has no Linear issue of its own, and neither does the payout cutover. The stock-pairs cluster (BAGS-426/430/434/436) is High priority but untouched while Tickr ships the same idea. Clean out the zombies and file the cutover.
Solana did $17.4M over 5 days vs $2.55M for the same days a week earlier. Excluding high-frequency wallets (≥200 trades in the window), it was $12.4M vs $1.56M. The volume was concentrated: $BAGSPAY was 56% of it and Tue Sep 29 was half of the ordinary-wallet total. But each day after the spike stayed above every day of the week before. Robinhood is the mirror image: −80% to ≈$90K, and under 1 ETH a day by Friday, now that the free-gas subsidy has ended.
Ordinary-wallet volume by day: $1.96M · $5.96M · $1.49M · $1.72M · $1.29M (Mon–Fri). The week before: $0.60M (an unusual Monday), then $190K–$280K a day. Daily traders went from ~1.3K to 5–7K and are holding there. That isn't one coin's pump fading back to zero. It's a new baseline about 6× the old one. Our job this week is to keep it there: payouts that keep arriving, push notifications without rugs, and a public receipt.
The platform-take table shows $78.3K (659 SOL) over the 5 days vs $28.5K the same days a week earlier. The accrual-timing anomaly flagged on Sep 14 and Sep 21 is unresolved: public-api #70 synced with backend #1280, but the indexer (#142) and datapi (#145) halves of the native-quote rework haven't landed. Quote dollars, not a percentage, until eng validates it against a known week.
Net read: the best narrative position Bags has had all year, and we're wasting it. The market agrees we invented this and our payouts ran while PAID's paused. That's why Solana did +583%. Since then, the idea has been copied six times, the clones compete on reliability and receipts, and our silence is turning into "abandoned". The answer is a receipt, not a slogan: payouts keep running through the cutover, the claim status shows on the token page (#549), and one post with the numbers.
Backend #1351/#1355/#1356 put Bags Payout into the core stack this week, and BagsPay is moving to it. Holders watch the payout wallet on-chain and are already asking "abandoned?". Set a cutover date and an owner (ramyodev), run the old and new claimers in sequence rather than with a gap between them, and confirm the first claims land from the new path the same day. File it in Linear; today it doesn't exist there.
Seven days of silence while the market asks for us. Post one thing with numbers: what Bags paid to creators this week ($136K in claims), how often payouts run, and where to check them (/pay, receipt-style history, #549 claim status once merged). Don't post the squatter CA and don't name competitors; the numbers make the comparison. Approval is still required. The drafted BagsPay thread from Sep 29 is the starting point.
Ordinary-wallet volume settled at $1.3–1.7M a day (≈6× last week) and daily traders at 5–7K. Two cheap retention fixes: filter bonding push notifications (liquidity pulled within 10 min, dev dumps, snipe-heavy launches; users are complaining publicly), and measure health by creators, not launches. Launches hit 214–440 a day from only 38–100 creators.
Tickr announced Robinhood Chain launches paired with ~133 tokenized stocks this week. Bags has the plumbing and four High Linear items sitting untouched: BAGS-434 move stock pairs to DBC curves, BAGS-436 RH stock-pairs QA, BAGS-426 listing dashboard, BAGS-412 stock filter in the terminal. Pick an owner and a ship date. RH volume is under 1 ETH a day after the subsidy, so stock pairs are now the reason to launch on Robinhood. Without them, RH is a tail. Copy stays "tokenized stock exposure".
Stop official Bags accounts promoting third-party tickers ("Trade $BAGSPAY today!", "+40,000%"), and fix the copy: tokenized stocks are never described as shares or redemption rights. Hold Relay cross-chain (#541/#690, +27K) until the payout cutover is stable; review bandwidth belongs to payouts this week. Zombies: close or re-own the 39 stale in-progress Linear issues and the 5 stale PRs. Holder safety: one official warning about the fake "vote" links.
Read: Linear tracked the audit well (7 closed) and missed the product that moved the market. The plan and the market are pointed at different things.
Not auto-created. Say the word and I'll file these with teams and priorities.
After a week of silence, the first post has to carry numbers and the ones after it have to keep coming. Rule: every post links to something verifiable (a payout tx, the /pay history, the token page's claim status). No CA posts for coins Bags didn't launch, and no competitor callouts. Every post here is a plan; Finn approves each one.
Cadence rule: MON (receipt) and WED (safety PSA) are non-negotiable. Then a weekly receipt every Monday, so "are they still paying?" always has a dated, public answer.
Goal: $100M cumulative protocol revenue. Banked all-time: $32.18M (DefiLlama, Solana basis; Robinhood revenue is additive and not included). That's 32.2%, up from $32.07M two weeks ago. Public 7d revenue tripled to $82.9K, the best week in a while, but still ~26× short of the ~$2.2M a week the Q4 target needs. The run-rate is better and the gap is unchanged.
| Milestone | Cumulative revenue | Increment | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Today (Oct 3) MEASURED | $32.18M | +$82.9K last 7d (Solana public) | 32.2% of goal |
| True incl. RH EST | $32.18M + RH (not re-summed this run) | +≈$0.9K RH protocol half (5d) | DefiLlama can't see RH |
| End of Q3'26 (Sep 30) TARGET | $36M | — | Missed: closed at ~$32.1M |
| End of Q4'26 TARGET | $61M | +$28.8M | needs ~$2.2M/wk · doing ~$83K/wk |
| $100M GOAL | $100M | +$67.8M | Needs a step change, not a good week |
Basis: DefiLlama protocol revenue, Solana (all-time $32.18M, fees $64.37M; 7d $82.9K revenue / $165.9K fees; 30d $203.6K). The honest read: this was a 6× week and it moved the bar by 0.1 point. What changes the slope is the floor: holding $1.3–1.7M a day of ordinary-wallet volume and growing it is worth more than another spike. A sustained ~$10M-a-week Solana run-rate, plus a take rate we can actually state, is the next milestone to measure against.
bags_trade_feed, UTC days, excluding wallets with ≥200 trades in the window. Including them: Tue 29 = $8.72M and the 5-day total = $17.4M. Grey = the week before. Daily traders went from ~1.3K to 5–7K.
On-chain scan, chain 4663 (cache refreshed to block 79.54M, +70 tokens, 4,743 all-time). Sep 28–Oct 2 = 33.4 ETH ≈ $90K, 10 launches, vs 165.3 ETH / 49 the same days a week earlier (−80%). Free gas ended Sep 29. Faded = the week before. Sep 21 (4.4 ETH) omitted for width.
